Agios Nikolaos is a graphic fishing village. Famous for tourist as it offers a calm landscape and people that help you relax! A lot of taverns and restaurants with traditional cuisine make their best dishes to serve you. Over the last decades Agios Nikolaos managed to develop tourism and create infrastructure for the hospitality of tourists during the summer season.
Starting from the village, you can explore the magnificent Taygetos mountain, get to know the Mani tower, the churches of Agios Myronas and Agios Nikolaos, from which it is named after the village, the hamlets with the wonderful cobbled streets, and the gorges of Viros and Rindom.
Nearby is Stoupa, where Nikos Kazantzakis inspired his work “Life and the State of Alexis Zorbas”, as well as the paved streets of magnificent Kardamili village, the ruins of the medieval castle and the ancient fortifications. South of Agios Nikolaos you will find the caves of Diros a magnificent labyrinth of sea caves worldwide known and of course a must-visit sight!
In the village there are two beaches, one with sand and one with pebbles and trees that offer natural shade under the sun.

Agios Nikolaos is located 48 km southeast of Kalamata and trip there lasts around 1 hour. Located 6 km south of Stoupa is bordered by the Messinian Gulf, making it a quite popular holiday destination.
