Agios Andreas

Information:

Agios Andreas is a small picturesque and graphic village in Messinia which  has evolved into a very interesting tourist resort with good infrastructure in accommodation (hotels and apartments) and many possibilities of entertainment and good food in restaurants and taverns.

The beach of Agios Andreas is 500 meters long and the coast has small pebbles and sand as all the beaches of the area. It is well organized and there you will find sun loungers, umbrellas, parking space and a canteen where you can buy water, coffee, soft drinks and snacks.

Next to the beach of Agios Andreas you can find one of the organized camping sites of Messinia and a restaurant.

You will also see the archaeological site of the ancient temple of Apollo of Korythos or Korynthos next to the beach of Agios Andreas in the village of Logga. An aisled early Christian church of Saint Andreas was built in place of this ancient temple and it is one of the most important Byzantine monuments in the area and gave its name to the beach.

The seaside village of Agios Andreas in Messinia is located 43 km west of Kalamata. Trip to Agios Andreas is approximately 50 minutes from Kalamata city.
